This is the new substructure. Clockwise from the top left: an overview - the hot-tub area is now level with the main deck, detail showing the extensive underpinning of the main joists which will be supporting the hot-tub. The joists are all plated. The bottom two photographs show the upper joists being replaced with the old deck boards. The entire upper portion was also straightened orthoganally.
