Blue Dog Construction and Renovation - Quality construction in the Bay Area

On time" and "on budget" are what we pride ourselves for and is at the core of our mission statement. Located in the Bay Area, California, Blue Dog Construction & Renovation operates out of Lafayette and services primarily the East Bay.

Andrew J. Gregor, founder and owner, was an architect in Wiesbaden, Germany, where he ran his own office for 17 years. Between 1987 and 2005, his architectural practice succesfully completed more than 4.5 million square feet in both residential and commercial projects.

Since its inception, Blue Dog Construction has completed a number of both commercial and residential projects here in the Bay Area and can provide a comprehensive reference list.

Our work ethics are of the highest standards and we are intent on delivering the highest quality work available for your budget. Our workforce comprises a group of top level carpenters and supporting crew that excel at what they do.

We are coming to the close of 2011 which has yielded a sharp upturn in business as the economy picks up. The projects were primarily residential upgrade work including two high-end bathrooms, renovation of an entire 6,500 square foot mansion, a couple of decks and a complicated basement addition.
We are also proud to anounce that we are booked through February of 2012 which is a great sign in these economic times. Our wpork comes mainly from mouth to mouth referrals which means we really aim to please our clients because we rely directly on their satisfaction for our business well-being! There are a number of different approaches to 'Green Building'. Utilizing lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council as being harvested from sustainable forests is a first big step in fulfilling the goal of a green building. There are a number of green insulating products that are green and sustainable. Saving the environment does come with a price tag, but with many products, it may not be as high as one thinks!

Blue Dog Construction supports Survivors International, a non-profit organisation that supports and helps victims of torture who arrive in the Bay Area. Its Executive Director Dr. Uwe Jacobs is one of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation 2009 Community Health Leaders Award recipients!
